Skate Vermont at Lake Morey
January 29-31, 2010, in Fairlee VT
A celebration of the lake, ice and all things winter. Fun for the whole family with snow sculptures, ice skating, speed skating marathons and recreational racing, plus skating parade, food, live entertainment and the first annual Taste of the Lake, a culinary tour of Lake Morey's Skate Trail.

Ski for Heat
January 31, 2010
Fun event is a great way to enjoy a day of crosscountry skiing and help raise money to provide heating fuel assistance this winter. Ski or snowshoe FREE at Morse Farm and collect peldges for the miles you cover. See www.skiforheat.org for more info.

Green Mountain Film Festival
March 19 through March 28 in Montpelier
April 6 through April 11 in St. Johnsbury
Returning for the 13th season, this fest shows independent, international and documentary films in and around the state capital. Last year I saw 10 films and can't wait to see more this year!
