Make sure your pet is up-to-date on all vaccinations--especially rabies. Check with your vet before leaving home.

Keep Fido or Fluffy safe in a moving car. Special harnesses are available, like a seat belt for dogs, and cats will be comfortable in a carrier.

Bring along your pet's leash, clean water and bowl. Plan to take frequent breaks from driving to let the whole family stretch their legs and sniff around!

Never leave a pet in the car during warm weather. Even with the windows cracked, on a hot day the temperature in a car can quickly exceed safe levels.
