The Flowers are Blooming
at Marshfield Inn and Motel!

June is one of my favorite months here in Vermont. The lilacs have been extra-fragrant this year and everyday a new iris is blooming. We've been out 4 times with our kayaks and enjoy seeing the many birds and other critters. Last week on North Monpelier pond we saw a loon, a blue heron and many little turtles.

Diana has been busy expanding our veggie garden. She's trying "lasagna gardening" for the first time and can't wait to see how the whole concoction of layered materials (leaves, compsot, manure, peat moss etc.) works out. And, it's finally warm enough for the tomato seedlings to go out!

Won't be long until Wellspring Farm starts the weekly member pick-ups at the CSA. The we'll be knee-deep in veggies—bring it on!

If you are in the mood for a little outdoor fun, June is a perfect time to visit. Bring your bike, canoe or just your sense of adventure. We can help you explore the area and guide you to some great local food. Of course, our porch is always open for a little sittin' and relaxin'.

Call now to let us know when we should expect you!
