A Note From The Innkeepers

Mud season is here, but don't worry. That also means it's time for maple syrup season!

let it snow!

We're in a good location to sample sugar on snow at 3 different maple sugar producers. Bragg Farm, Morse Farm and Goodrich are each only 4 or 5 miles away. Have some hot syrup ladled over snow, a raised donut to go with, then chase the sweetness with a pickle. Might sound crazy, but it's the Vermont way!

For those who don't have a sweet tooth, Cabot Creamery is a 15 mintue drive or visit Willow Moon Farm for some artisinal goat cheese and to visit with the new baby goats.

Interested in local beers? Find your way to Positive Pie for some hearty food and their great range of local brews. Of course, Hill Farmstead is on tap!

Visit the covered bridges in our area, do some birding on our 27 acres. Make sure to also set aside a day in Montpelier to shop, visit the State House or browse the three independent books stores in town.

If you just want to kick back and relax, that works here too. The view is always wonderful and you can watch the grass get greener every day! Call us today to make your reservation! We look forward to meeting you . . .
