A Note From The Innkeepers

We still have a lot of snow on the ground but the sun is shining and the sap is beginning to flow. Of course that means the back roads can also be tricky--mud can be more slippery than snow!

let it snow!

But March is a great time to visit sugar houses to sample maple syrup and learn about the sugaring process. Bragg Farm, Morse Farm and Goodrich Maple are all just a couple miles from us. Each operation is a little different so you can make a day of deciding which syrup is your favorite.

Looking for more Vermont tastes? Cabot Creamery is a 15 mintue drive or visit Willow Moon Farm for some artisinal goat cheese and to visit with the new baby goats. Hit the Montpelier Winter Farmer's Market on alternate Saturday mornings for a smorgasbord of local meats, breads, sweets and veggies.

March is also time for the Green Mountain Film Festival, March 20-29 in Montpelier. Check out the schedule here: http://www.gmffestival.org. Then call to reserve your seats. I usually try to see at least 4 or 5 films--the options are extensive.

If you just want to kick back and relax, that works here too. The view is always wonderful and you can watch the snow melt! Call us today to make your reservation! We look forward to meeting you . . .
